What a walk feels like

Forest bathing, at a pace the body remembers

A SilverPineway walk is unhurried by design. You move through standing pine with a guide who sets a slow rhythm, pauses for breath, and lets the forest do the quieting.

  • Resinous pine air that measurably clears the head within the first kilometre.
  • No performance targets — the only pace is the one that lets you notice the trees.
  • Small groups, so the guide can read the room and adjust the walk to it.

How a session unfolds

Four movements of a guided walk

Every SilverPineway session follows the same shape, so the forest can do its work without you having to think about the plan.

  1. 01

    Arrival and grounding

We meet at the trailhead, leave the phones away, and spend a few minutes letting the pace of the forest replace the pace of the city.

  2. 02

    Guided breathing

Before we move, the guide leads a short breathing practice. It sets the rhythm for the whole walk and opens the chest to the pine air.

  3. 03

    The forest walk

We walk slowly, stopping often. The guide points out what the trees are doing, names what you're smelling, and keeps the group unhurried.

  4. 04

    Tea and reflection

We close with warm tea at a quiet clearing, a short reflection, and time to let the calm settle before you head back out.

A forest that keeps changing

Every season walks differently

The pines hold their green all year, but the forest around them never sits still. We shape the walk to whatever the season is offering.

  • Spring — new undergrowth and the brightest, sharpest resin scent of the year.
  • Summer — deep canopy shade and the coolest, cleanest air on the ridge routes.
  • Autumn — maples turn beside the pines and the light runs long and gold.
  • Winter — frost-still silence and the slowest, most grounding walks we run.

The people who set the pace

Certified forest-therapy guides

Every walk is led by a trained guide who knows this forest and knows how to read a group. They pace for the people in front of them, never the clock.

From a walker

I came off the trail breathing differently. The air was genuinely clean, the pace let my head go quiet, and by the tea at the end I'd forgotten the week I'd walked in with. It was the real reset I'd been promising myself for months.

Questions walkers ask

The loop and riverside walks suit any reasonable fitness level and a slow, steady pace. The canopy trek involves a real climb, so a little regular walking helps — but there is no rush and no fixed finish time.

Cancel up to 48 hours before your walk for a full refund. Inside 48 hours we offer a free reschedule to any later date within the same season.

Light rain is part of the forest and we walk through it — it brings out the pine scent. If conditions are genuinely unsafe we move you to the next available walk at no cost.

Children aged eight and over are very welcome on the loop and riverside walks with an accompanying adult. The canopy trek is best for ages twelve and up.

Walkers gather at our Matsugaya office, where a short shuttle runs to the trailhead. Full directions and the meeting time arrive with your confirmation.
